Why Republic Day celebrated on 26 January

In India, 26 January 1950 is of special importance. The Constitution of India came into force on this day. It means the rule of law started in the country. Since then 26 January has been celebrated with great passion and respect throughout the country as Republic Day. Republic Day is one of the three national festivals of our country. This is the day that makes us realize the importance of our Republic. Because of this, it is celebrated with so much zeal and enthusiasm across the country. It is also the day when India shows its strategic strength, which is not to terrorize anyone but to give the message that we are capable of protecting ourselves.
